Have you undertaken any sustainability-themed work in the past year that you want to be recognised for? No matter how big or small, these awards are for you!

Award categories:

• Air Quality & Climate Action: Share your work to improve air quality and/or reduce your carbon footprint, including climate-focused initiatives and net zero efforts.

• Circular Economy: Go beyond recycling - show how your business eliminates waste, circulates materials, and regenerates nature.

• Communication & Engagement: Highlight campaigns, events, or initiatives that engage stakeholders and promote behaviour change around sustainability.

• Plastic Free City: Demonstrate your work to reduce single-use plastics that goes beyond compliance.

• Chairman’s Cup – Action for Nature: Celebrate initiatives that bring nature into business - from greening sites and sustainable supply chains, to volunteering, charity partnerships, and staff wellbeing.

The Clean City Awards Scheme (CCAS), led by the City of London Corporation, recognises and celebrates businesses in the Square Mile that are leading the way on sustainability and environmental excellence. The awards provide an opportunity for organisations to showcase their achievements, gain recognition among peers, and demonstrate their commitment to making the City of London cleaner, greener, and more sustainable.

Who can apply?
Applications are open to all CCAS members in the City of London, including small businesses, large businesses and facilities management companies. We welcome entries from any organisation who has delivered meaningful sustainability work, no matter how big or small, whether that’s across your operations, communications, supply chains, buildings, or community initiatives.

What makes a strong application?
We encourage submissions that demonstrate real impact and creativity. Entries should focus on projects, campaigns, or initiatives undertaken over the past 12 months. Applicants should share measurable results where possible, lessons learned, and the benefits for people, nature, or the wider environment.

Award categories:

• Air Quality & Climate Action: Initiatives that improve air quality, reduce emissions, or support climate resilience and net zero goals.

• Circular Economy: Projects that go beyond recycling, embedding circular economy principles like eliminating waste, circulating materials, and regenerating nature.

• Communication & Engagement: Creative campaigns, events, or engagement programmes that inspire behaviour change among staff, contractors, or wider stakeholders.

• Plastic Free City: Actions to reduce single-use plastics, going beyond the basics to demonstrate meaningful change.

• Chairman’s Cup – Action for Nature: Initiatives that bring nature into business - greening buildings, sustainable supply chains, volunteering, partnerships with environmental charities, or staff wellbeing projects that connect people with nature.
